The SeaStar software allows users to define start time of recordings (year/month/date, /hour/min.). Thus it is possible to save data memory until the recorder is placed at the measuring site. This feature is also convenient when several recorders are required to start recording at the same time. Users also define sampling interval, which can be from 1 second to few hours. Users have the option to define more than one sampling interval, to increase memory efficiency, up to seven different sampling intervals and number of measurements taken at each interval can be defined. The intervals recycle until memory is full. The DST milli automatically syncs the clock with the computer clock, once connection is established.
The SeaStar software retrieves the accumulated data and processes it in graphs and tabular form. Data files are automatically stored on the computer's hard drive. The data can be exported to other data processing e.g Excel. The chart can be saved as bitmap (bmp) or Windows Metafile (wmf) and imported into other programs e.g Word. Charts can be zoomed and edited.
