Details
The DST milli-PU is specially designed for use in the food and beverage industry for quality and process control, in particular during tunnel pasteurization, product development, packaging and logistics.
The DST milli-PU is a miniature data logger that measures and records temperature and pressure (optional). Recorded data is stored in the logger‘s internal memory with a real time reference for each measurement.
The DST milli-PU is supported by the application software FoodStar. In addition to temperature and pressure the software also calculates the accumulated Pasteurisation Unit (PU) value and CO2 value over the measuring period (commonly used in the beverage and food industry). The Communication Box serves as an interface between the logger and a PC. Communication between the logger and the Communication Box is wireless.
In FoodStar, the user sets the start time, start date and sampling interval before starting the recorder. Up to seven different intervals can optionally be set for the same measurement sequence. This is especially useful when more frequent measurements are needed at a certain time period.
After recovering the DST recorded data is uploaded to FoodStar where the results are displayed both in graphic and tabular form. After retrieving the data, the DST can be re-programmed and reused as long as the battery lasts.
A set of Communication Box and FoodStar software needs to be purchased with the first order.
Star-Oddi offers a special bracket called the “Spider Cap” that keeps the logger in a centered position inside e.g. a bottle or a can. For tunnel pasteurisation Star-Oddi offers a Bottle/Can Tray for easily spotting the bottle/can being studied. For more information about accessories please click here.
