How do I find prices or place an order?

For ordering, price info or a quotation:

  • find the products you want to order/receive a price quote for, add to the quote basket and submit
  • contact us via our quote request form
  • contact us via e-mail
  • call us with your request, +354 533 6060 during our office hours, Monday-Friday between 9-17 Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)

What information is needed to receive a quote?

The more information we get the better. To provide an accurate price quote (incl. express courier shipping), we need the following information (this is for our records only and will not be shared with a 3rd party):

  • Full name, organisation, e-mail and country. Preferably also full address and phone number
  • Product(s) or sensors of interest
  • The quantity to be included in the quote
  • What type of research
  • Temperature, depth and salinity ranges if required
  • If high urgency on delivery, then please state

How long is the delivery time?

Delivery time depends on the type of loggers and quantity you order. We may have products in stock but generally it takes 3-6 weeks after receiving your order for the products to be manufactured and ready to ship. All orders ship out from Iceland. We use express couriers (DHL, FedEx) that normally takes 1-5 business days, depending on your location. If you would like to use your own courier for the order pickup, please let us know.

Do you charge VAT or add duties and taxes to the purchase?

Star-Oddi does not add VAT or any other fees to the purchase. Authorities in the destination country may charge local value-added taxes/import duties and taxes, which are incurred by the buyer. Iceland is part of European Economic Area (EEA) but not EU.

Do you have a distributor in my country?

Our products can be used in many different fields and applications. The fields listed are the most common ones. Please contact us with your requirements for us to recommend a suitable product.

What accessories do I need as a first-time customer?

There are two basic accessories needed. First, you will have to acquire our application software, SeaStar, Mercury or Foodstar, to be able to set the logger for recordings and retrieve the data. Secondly, you will need a connection between the logger and your computer. This consists of either a Communication Box with the use of our DST series or a USB cable with the use of our Starmon logger series.
For our telemetry products nanoRF-T, microRF-T and microRF-HRT you need a PAN, RF-box and Antenna in addition to the Communication box.
